We hope that this series of books will ultimately help the believers to become like breast fed babies in the spiritual sense.  If we feed on the Holy Qur’an we will become spiritually healthier.  We will develop a strong spiritual immune system that can help us ward off spiritual diseases like hypocrisy.  And we will be smarter, more intelligent so that we might escape falling victim to Satan’s powers of deception.  “One learned man or woman is harder on the devil than 1,000 ignorant worshippers”, according to the hadith sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him.). Let us become learned in all disciplines that are the component parts of a high and dignified civilization.  But let us begin by becoming learned first in the divinely revealed word of Allah (God) as found within the pages of the Holy Qur’an.

There are many believers who are blessed to be a part of congregations that are led by great preachers and teachers.  However, the greatness of our spiritual leaders does not exempt us as believers from the need to be able to feed ourselves spiritually as guardians of our own faith and mental health.

Every believer in Islam has a need to be able to go in and out of the word of Allah (God), found within the pages of the Holy Qur’an, as needed.  Each believer needs an ever-increasing familiarity with the wisdom contained within the Holy Qur’an.  This familiarity should manifest itself in the easy recitation of one’s favorite ayats or passages.  Each believer should become so familiar with the Holy Qur’an’s contents that he or she automatically thinks of a relevant passage or ayat (verse) from the Holy Qur’an whenever confronted with any difficult situation.

Struggle is Ordained, but so is victory!
